We have done this several times, but Eli wanted to make a new batch yesterday.
You just remove the paper off the crayons, break them, put them into a muffin tin and bake for a few minutes at 275. If you would like to pour the hot melted crayons into a plastic mold you must do so quickly after removing from oven. Let them dry completly and then they are ready to color with! FYI: broken crayons or crayons of different shapes like these help kids learn their pincer grip. This will add when learning to write.
