We also did this yesterday-easy and lots of fun! It was a beautiful day, so most of our day was spent in the backyard. We squirted some food coloring into a sand which bag, poured some table salt, closed the bag and SHOOK SHOOK SHOOK... We sang all sorts of crazy shake your bag songs! We then poured all the colors in bowls and used spoons to pour the colored salt into a glass jar. Eli has made 3 of these and I am sure there are lots of other fun ideas to do with this colored sand. We have lots of leftovers-just need to think of something else to do with it. When I asked Eli what it was he said it was a Rainbow in a Jar:)
